This is the website of the Special Interest Group on Information Technology in Healthcare. It is a Special Interest Group of the Association for Information Systems.
The scope of SIGhealth is: to discuss issues, develop ideas, and promote research on information technologies in the context of healthcare.
We have set the following (the coming 5 years) goals:
• have a refereed electronic SIGhealth journal;
• have one or more SIGhealth special issues in a journal with a commited focus in IS such as IJHTM, ISR, JAIS;
• have one SIGhealth electronic conference or pre-conference workshop;
• have one SIGhealth member chaired mini-track/ tutorial/ or panel in every main IS conference (ICIS, HICSS, AMCIS, ECIS);
• have at least one SIGhealth member paper in every main IS conference health care mini-track;
• to make sure that our researchers are aware of the needs in practice by actively involving practitioners in our research; every paper preferably should have a practitioner as author. We will provide industry contacts to our members.
