\nWe invite you to submit mini-track proposals for AMCIS 2012- Reflect and Redefine: Designing the Digital Future.<\/p>\n

Submit your mini-track proposal using the manuscript central system at http:\/\/mc.manuscriptcentral.com\/amcis2012<\/a><\/p>\n

The deadline for proposal submissions is November 16, 2011 (12 midnight EST)<\/p>\n

Proposals should be a maximum of 2 pages long. Proposals should provide a brief one or two paragraph description of the main theme, its importance and relevance to information systems research and practice. You should also list some potential topics for your mini-track. Each proposal must list names and contact information of mini-track chair(s).<\/p>\n

IS in Healthcare Track Summary:<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0 Information systems (IS) offers significant potential to improve quality and efficiency of care delivery, enable new forms of healthcare organizations, and transform patients\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 behavior. However, to fully exploit the power of healthcare IS, significant challenges must be overcome. Consistent with the 2012 conference theme, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153reflect and redefine, designing the digital future,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d the focus of this track is on the design, implementation, adoption, and use of healthcare IS, as well as quantifying the impact of IS on clinical and financial performance at the patient, physician, hospital\/healthcare facility, and national levels. Digitizing healthcare represents a rare and remarkable opportunity for information systems researchers, and we welcome IS studies from a variety of reference disciplines including computer science, economics, organizational behavior, public policy, software engineering, and strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n
