Health Policy and Technology is a cross-disciplinary journal which focuses on past, present and future health policy and the role of technology in clinical and non-clinical health environments. As a peer-reviewed journal, it aims to foster closer links with policy-makers, health professionals, health technology providers, patient groups and academia. The journal is owned by the registered charity, the Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine (FPM) established in 1918 with the aim of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dceducating medical professionals\u00e2\u20ac\u2122.<\/p>\n
The first issue of Health Policy and Technology will be published in March 2012. This will be a special issue on: “Electronic Health Records in the 21st Century”.<\/p>\n
We invite papers on a range of policy and technology themes which may include:
\nImplementation targets for EHRs in healthcare organisations
\nCross-border policies for EHRs
\nFinancial and non-financial costs of introducing EHRs
\nClinical and patient engagement with EHRs
\nGovernment policy for EHRs and country comparisons
\nSecurity and governance practices in relation to EHRs
\nRole of EHRs in campaigns to improve citizens’ health and reduce health inequalities<\/p>\n

\nAuthors must submit their paper via the online submission system (EES) at http:\/\/ees.elsevier.com\/hlpt. Authors can register and upload their text, tables, and figures as well as subsequent revisions through this website.
